Luxury Tour From Marrakech to High Atlas Mountains
Day 1 – Arrive Marrakech
Tour starts in Marrakech with an evening visit to the highly animated Djemaa el Fna square, scene of acrobats, musicians and storytellers.
Day 2 – Discover Marrakech
A guided walking tour of Marrakech medina reveals Djemaa el Fna, Koutoubia, the historic Ben Youssef area and souks. Afterwards there’s time for independent sightseeing, or an optional caleche ride, cooking course or spa.
Day 3 – Atlas to Ait Benhaddou
A winding route ascends the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains as we journey to Telouet Kasbah and the World Heritage Ksar of Ait Benhaddou.
Day 4 – Along the Draa Valley to the Sahara
At Ouarzazate we see Taourirt Kasbah. Next we cross the volcanic Jebel Saghro and traverse the beautiful Draa Valley to sleep in the Mhamid area for 2 nights in a comfortable Kasbah-style abode. Optional sunset camel ride.
Day 5 – In the Sahara
An adventurous day trip following sand tracks to Morocco’s greatest expanse of dunes at Erg Chegaga (return to the comfort of your hotel in the late afternoon).
Day 6 – Across the Anti-Atlas to Taroudant
Today we see ever-changing landscapes on a crossing of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and Souss Valley. Arriving at Taroudant there is time to explore the ancient walled medina.

We enjoy a dramatic drive up to the Tizi n’Test pass then pause at the ruined mosque of Tinmal and pretty village of Ouirgane. Our base for 2 nights is Kasbah Africa in the tranquil Azzaden Valley.
Day 8 – Walk, mule trek or relax in the High Atlas
Accompanied by an experienced Berber mountain guide choose a trail to suit your ability or perhaps ride a mule to a nearby Berber village for views of North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal.
Day 9 – Tour ends in Marrakech
Transfer directly back to Marrakech where tour ends.
Travelling in a foreign culture and developing country such as Morocco can be a delightfully rewarding and challenging experience.
We recommend hiring a human guide for a few hours to allow yourself to become comfortable with the culture.
Guides know many languages as well as Berber and Arabic, including French, Spanish, and English and often some German, Japanese, Italian and Dutch as well. Our drivers know English, Spanish and French.
We use 4×4 vehicles, Toyota Land Cruisers or similar for our private tours. SUV 4×4’s have lots of room and they seat 4 and 5 average sized people quite comfortably.
You can relax and wear whatever is familiar and comfortable on the street at home. Morocco is very tolerant and welcoming to visitors, you’re not expected to act or look like a Moroccan.
An amazing memorable trip to Morrocco. Need no other word to review/comment for this trip. Only one word, awesome is good enough to spell out everything.
We used him for our business to take guest on excursions and provide transportation. We have found him very punctual, all the drivers are very friendly and the organization is extremely professional. Highly recommended.
Went on a 4 day tour with Sahara luxury tours from Marrakesh to the Desert. He was super helpful, answering all of our questions and pointing out cool things to look at/do! The hotels he booked were lovely, and the highlight of the trip was camping out in the Desert under the stars.
